Hi, I'm Kyle
I grew up in a Christian home with incredible parents and was baptized when I was seven years old. I attended church services, youth events, and camps throughout my life. Later, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Psychology and from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology degree. I currently serve as the Discipleship Pastor at Brazos Fellowship Church in College Station.
Over the past 25 years, I have served in six different churches as a College Pastor, Lead Pastor, Church Planter, and Discipleship Pastor. Throughout my journey, God has been incredibly good to me. He has surrounded me with faithful churches, loving communities, and remarkable people who have shaped my life. Yet beneath all of those blessings, there was a persistent and uncomfortable question that followed me for years:
Is something missing?
I grew up in church and knew the Bible stories, but somehow missed the main story of the Bible. I had confused the subplots of Scripture for the main plot. I struggled not only to understand God's story, but also to discover my place within it.
Over time, by God's grace, the pieces began to come together. The story of Scripture started to make sense. The main plot became clear. I discovered my place in God's story and began to truly know Him: not merely know about Him. As the pieces began to come together, I experienced the abundant life that Jesus promised. My faith shifted from preparing to go to heaven someday to learning how to walk with Jesus and experience the reality of His Kingdom today and everyday.
The Gospel became more than a future destination; it became a present reality. I discovered that eternal life is not merely something that begins after death; it begins the moment we enter into a relationship with Jesus and learn to live under His loving rule and reign.
My deepest desire is for others to have that same experience. If you've spent years in and around church and still feel like something is missing, this series is for you. Together, we'll explore the Story behind all the stories, the Plot behind all the subplots, and how finding our rightful place in God's story changes everything.
That persistent and uncomfortable question lingering deep within your soul isn't random. It is the gentle invitation of your loving Heavenly Father drawing you into something more. If you've ever felt that something is missing despite years in church, Bible studies, worship services, or even ministry, don't ignore that longing. Sometimes the very questions that unsettle us are the means God uses to lead us closer to Himself.
I can't wait to meet you and walk alongside you as we explore this incredible invitation together. God may be calling you into something far greater than you ever imagined.
They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?” (Luke 24:32)
